Benefits of Microsoft Copilot in Dynamics 365 CRM Solutions
Microsoft Copilot, an AI-powered assistant, is transforming how we interact with Dynamics 365 CRM Solutions. It’s not just a tool; it’s your personal assistant within Dynamics 365 CRM applications, designed to streamline your day-to-day operations and enhance efficiencies.
Having had the opportunity to integrate Copilot into my daily workflow, I’ve experienced firsthand how it can truly make salespeople more efficient and effective.
In this article, I’ll go over the benefits of Microsoft Copilot in Dynamics 365 CRM, with a particular focus on the advantages of using Copilot in D365 CE Sales and CE Customer Service.
Note: There are now 5 different Dynamics 365 apps that serve various CRM needs. In some contexts, you may also see those products referred to as “Customer Engagement” or “CE” apps. Importing records works the same no matter which of those apps you’re using.
What is Copilot in Dynamics 365 CRM?
Copilot is natively built into Dynamics 365 CRM applications, optimized to enhance business professionals’ efficiency. By interpreting requests and retrieving relevant data from Dynamics 365 CRM Sales or CRM Customer Service, it streamlines processes, saving time and effort. This enables you to concentrate on the most critical parts of your day-to-day.
Benefits of Copilot in D365 CRM
The benefits of using Copilot in Dynamics 365 CRM Solutions can be quite impactful.
The first benefit realized by those who begin to use and adopt Copilot is increased efficiency. Copilot can streamline processes, help sales teams manage tasks more effectively, and focus on high-value interactions.
Also, by analyzing customer data, Copilot can provide actionable insights, enabling sales reps to tailor their approaches, improve engagement, and provide personalized customer interactions using real-time information pulled from CRM. Imagine getting a call from a customer you haven’t spoken to in a while and immediately having details on your screen regarding past interactions and a possible next-best offer.
Ease of Use
With a pop-up on the right side of the screen, users can quickly access the information they need, whether it’s a summary, meeting prep, or responding to an email within Dynamics 365 CRM Applications.
Summarize Account Data Quickly
Within Dynamics 365 CRM Sales, Microsoft Copilot creates efficiency by quickly summarizing account information so that you can quickly pop up a summary of your accounts, keeping you updated on recent changes and activities using the “Get Info” feature.
For instance, during sales calls, users can quickly access relevant data, customer spend, opportunity outlines, and details relating to specific leads and contacts within an account.
Prepare for Meetings
Using Copilot for meeting preparation and email follow-ups can significantly boost productivity using the “Stay ahead” feature. By summarizing key information from opportunity records, Copilot helps you stay organized and ready for upcoming sales appointments.
Additionally, it ensures you don’t miss important emails by highlighting those that need a response. This allows sales teams to focus on high-value interactions and maintain seamless communication with clients.
Customer Service
Copilot in Dynamics 365 Customer Service significantly enhances efficiency with features like case summarization and the Ask a Question tab, located on the right-hand panel in any of the Customer Service agent apps. By analyzing and summarizing key information from customer interactions, Copilot helps agents stay organized and ready to address complex issues.
The Ask a Question tab allows users to leverage Copilot to find information based on their knowledge base. Users can interact with Copilot and ask follow-up questions to generate the most useful response.
With case summaries and conversation summaries, Copilot ensures that all important interactions are easily consumable, allowing agents to focus on high-value tasks and maintain seamless communication with customers. This leads to quicker, more accurate action from salespeople, ultimately boosting customer satisfaction
Enhancing Data Management
Copilot creates efficiencies throughout the day. If staff are taking phone calls and inputting information into Dynamics 365 applications during the conversation, that information is automatically stored and used going forward. The efficiencies are evident in meeting prep, email responses, and when a client calls back after a long period.
Copilot also enhances effectiveness. It lets users quickly access information, making them look professional and well-prepared.
Overcoming Challenges and Limitations
The biggest concern clients have with Copilot is adoption. To begin using Copilot, I recommend starting with simple tasks like accessing customer summaries and gradually exploring its other features as you become more comfortable.
User Adoption
Copilot in D365 CRM is simple to begin using, but it can take some time to get used to having the pop-up on the screen and using it regularly. Just like any other new tool, the best way to begin using it is to embrace it and use it consistently to learn how to best use it to fit your needs and reap its benefits. I’ve found that once users begin using Copilot, they often find it a vital tool, and they can’t see themselves without it.
