Microsoft Dynamics GP 2018

Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016

Important Notes

The biggest change to expect is CRA’s requirement to populate new Codes 57, 58, 59 and 60. This is mandatory regardless of the employee’s status. Please see our blog here for further information.

  • Install the tax update as you would normally install a service pack. It is inclusive of all other patches and service packs.
  • You will need to be logged into CustomerSource to access these update links.
  • Support for GP2015 has ended. This means you will no longer receive tax or year end updates. If you have not done so already, please contact Encore to make arrangements to upgrade your system.

Please read the installation instructions before running this update.

Please click on this link to 2020 Payroll Procedures to learn more about closing the payroll year end.

Updated Tax Credits and statutory rates can be viewed from Basic Personal Tax Credits here. As of the writing of this e-mail Canada has not confirmed these amounts and they may change.

Please take caution when mailing T4s/T4As/R1s to employees. Check to ensure that an employee’s social insurance number (SIN) is not visible or legible through the window of an envelope or through the envelope paper. If you are interested in acquiring the ability to e-mail your T4s, please contact Encore for further information.

For support on tax updates and the payroll year-end close please contact care@encorebusiness.com. Please be advised that due to the high volume of tax update projects, responses may be longer than normal.
