Communication is the key to any good relationship: How SalesPad integrates with Microsoft Dynamics GP

With a Microsoft Dynamics GP ISV (Independent Software Vendor) community that essentially encompasses every spectrum of the business process, it’s imperative that GP users find out what the differentiating factor is among these ISV’s. Moreover, they need to decide the most crucial one of these factors as it affects their business. There are plenty of solutions that may provide ease of use, added functionality to what GP offers, or really anything that fills a hole in GP. However, many of these solutions are not built specifically for integration with Dynamics GP. This brings a few questions to the surface. What is the integration process? How much does it cost? How do we integrate?

SalesPad gives Dynamics GP users an easy to use front-end interface for Sales, Customer Service, and Inventory. Perhaps the biggest benefit for some—it’s completely built for and integrated with Dynamics GP. SalesPad leverages the Dynamics GP database and reads and writes from the standard GP tables. Now, there are several features in SalesPad that are outside of what GP can offer—namely CRM, Unlimited UDF’s, and Workflow—but all of these functions are written to SalesPad tables inside the GP database. With the assistance of eConnect, a free Microsoft integration tool, everything you do in SalesPad can be seen at or near real-time in Dynamics GP and vice versa. That means double entry or syncing are not necessary.

What does this mean for you?

Well, first of all—cost savings! Paying for integration can be costly and you can normally count on some bumps in the road. This isn’t to say that integrations can’t be done effectively with some products, but wouldn’t it be easier to completely skip a step and save the time and cost?

Aside from cost savings, you can find comfort in the fact that SalesPad was specifically created for Dynamics GP! SalesPad wasn’t developed to be a one-size fits all ERP add on solution.
