December 2019 Tax Updates Coming Soon!

The Canadian Payroll tax update for December 2019 has not yet been released, but is expected to arrive December 20, 2019. Keep checking these links listed below for updated information:

NOTES:

• Install the tax update as you would normally install a service pack. It is inclusive of all other patches and service packs. The GP2018 is inclusive of all past service packs.
• You will need to be logged into CustomerSource to access these update links.
• Mainstream support will end for GP2015 on April 14, 2020. This means you will no longer receive tax or year end updates. Please contact Encore to make arrangements to upgrade your system.
• GP2018 users. It is important to note that the new GP version will be 18.2. This was released in October 2019. You will need to ensure all your third party products are compatible with this new version.

Updated Tax Credits and statutory rates can be viewed at Basic Personal Tax Credits.  As of the writing of this email Canada has not confirmed these amounts, and they may change.

Please take caution when mailing T4s/T4As/R1s to employees. Check to ensure that an employee’s social insurance number (SIN) is not visible or legible through the window of an envelope or through the envelope paper.
