How to Find Your Dynamics GP Version

A common question asked by our clients is for help finding the exact version of Microsoft Dynamics GP that they are using. The build numbers give us a lay of the land, and provide us with the details we need to properly assess the issue. There are 2 simple methods to find out your version number.

Method 1

The easiest way to find out what you are using is to launch Dynamics GP for the first time. You will notice that in the login screen the bottom left corner will contain Version xx.xx.xxxx (i.e. Version 12.00.1042).

Method 2

When GP is already open, if you look at the top right hand corner you will notice a blue help icon .

Click on Help >> About Microsoft Dynamics GP… A new window will appear and show us more than just your version; it gives us a chance to see what builds of Dexterity, Smartlist, and HR you are currently using.
