First Time to Nashville for the Summit Conference
Ever since I was young, I remember driving to my Baba’s house in Arborg, Manitoba. Country music blaring from the speakers for the entire drive. Now for some of you I’m sure that would be complete torture, but for me it was like a mini vacation every second weekend.
I knew the words to every song, and could only dream that one day I’d get to visit the place many of those famous people started out. The dark and dim-lit bars and street corners they sang on, just to hopefully get noticed by some big record company. That’s what I picture Nashville to be like, but I don’t really know because I’ve never actually been there.
Lucky for me come October, I won’t be able to say that anymore because I am attending Summit 2017 with our team here at Encore! Four fun-filled, fast-paced days of learning and engaging with Microsoft Dynamics users everywhere and I can’t wait!
The Summit conference is the premier event for users of Microsoft Dynamics solutions. Not only is there an expo hall with countless booths where you can explore solutions for your organization, but there’s pre-conference academy training, breakout sessions, interesting guest speakers and of course lots of exciting after-hours events! It’s incredible value for what it costs to attend in time and money. Listen to this recent webinar to hear from an Encore customer who attended for the first time last year and is excited to go again in 2017.
*Also, If you register before September 7, you save $200 off the registration. On top of that you can use Encore’s special discount code: PRPENCORE to save an additional 10%!
Being still fairly new to the Encore Team, the biggest take away I am hoping for is just to meet many new people and learn more ways that Dynamics GP can work for various businesses. I often see people using such a great solution, but never really taking the time to get to know it’s full potential. This is most likely due to the fact that everyone is so used to working in a certain way and change is scary! Most important of all, change takes time. Most of us are just sitting there hoping that retirement comes before the big changes hit and hopefully we can avoid them but for me, with retirement being approximately 45 years away, I will not be dodging that bullet.
For all of us millennials who have many years to look forward to working with these solutions, take the time to get to know the capabilities and remember that change is good! People see technology as difficult and daunting, but it really doesn’t need to be. You can’t grow without change, so make the most out of your investment and see what your Microsoft Dynamics solution has to offer at Summit 2017!
We all think change sucks, but does it really? Stagnation seems more boring to me, what do you think?
