It feels like just yesterday I was packing my cowboy boots for last year’s Summit 2017 in Nashville, Tennessee. Now I’m sitting here trying to figure out what I need to pack for this year’s Summit in Phoenix, Arizona! What do you take to Phoenix anyways? Golf clubs? I have no clue! Good thing I still have a couple months to think about that one, so if you have any suggestions please feel free to share!
For anyone who hasn’t registered for this year’s Summit conference, it’s happening this October 15th to 18th. The fascinating thing about Summit is that it’s somewhere new every single year. Last year was my first year attending and I don’t know how to describe it. The one word that comes to my mind first is the word “unreal” because that’s truly what it is.
Anyone that I have talked to about Summit has heard me say the statement “if you only have one conference to fit into your budget for the year, this is definitely the one to beat!” I wasn’t sure what to expect last year, so I spent most of my time talking to colleagues that have been attending for years just to get the 4-1-1 on what to expect throughout the four days. Now that I have been, I personally have a better idea of how Summit works.
When you register for Summit, you register under your solution of interest. When you go on the website you will see abbreviations like GPUG, NAVUG, CRMUG, D365UG or AXUG. The UG at the end stands for “user group”. An important thing to note is that even if you are registered under a solution, you are free to attend any of the sessions you choose! You are not limited in any way.
The two key components of Summit are: the sessions and the Expo floor. There are so many sessions to choose from depending on your interests, and the Expo floor is where there are hundreds of third party vendors for you to explore and chat with about your system needs.
Worried about attending Summit solo or for the first time?
Not a problem! Encore always has a large group that attends and will be there for your every question or need. You can be involved with Encore employees as much or as little as you want, and we are all reachable by call, text or email throughout the entire conference. We can give you a tour of the Expo floor to explore third party vendors or just meet for a coffee to take a quick break! By the second last day you will definitely need it!
If I have said anything that has even remotely peaked your interest, feel free to check out the Summit website for more information.
If you haven’t registered yet, Encore has a discount code available for our clients! Use PRPENCORE to save 10% off your registration for Summit.
I don’t think that I talked to a single person last year that didn’t want to come back with us this year, so don’t be left behind this time around and join us in Phoenix Arizona for Summit 2018! Let us know if you have any questions.
