Hi, I’m Lexa from Encore, and today I’m going to be talking to you about migrating your business applications to the cloud.

There are two main reasons that people are moving to the cloud, one being the cost efficiencies. So, the fact that they can save 20 to 30% on their IT is a definite plus in the majority of companies’ books. Secondly, the fact that they can do things differently than they could before, so to help them really disrupt their competitors.

However, when migrating, there’s definitely some concerns. I want to start by saying that’s it definitely not an overnight shift. It’s a transition and a journey. Three of these main fears are: one downtime, two privacy, and three security. Encore has addressed these concerns by creating a cloud road map that we customize for our customers, that helps mitigate these risks and make the journey a lot more comfortable.

Our general recommendations for any company looking to move to the cloud are to start with these three things: one email, two their file server, and three their disaster recovery.
