New Microsoft Dynamics Logo

After many years, the Microsoft Dynamics “sails” are no more. At WPC 2015, partners were instructed to move away from the classic logotype. The aim appears to be to make “Microsoft” the lead brand on all content (“Dynamics” is a secondary), and further integrate the Dynamics brand into the Microsoft stack.  Another step closer to “One Microsoft“!

“Microsoft Dynamics” is really a portfolio of six different solutions (CRM, GP, NAV, AX, C5 and SL), and there has never been a Microsoft-sanctioned way to represent these distinct products graphically.   Here’s the new “official” logo:

In addition, each product has it’s own square:

Dynamics NAV Logo

When it comes to iconography, (we’ll still need something to tap and click on), it seems as if this is now the new symbol for Dynamics CRM:

We’ve spotted it being used in Dynamics CRM in the iTunes app store and as the Windows App thumbnail, but that looks to be the extent of the new symbol’s usage at this point.

And we’ve seen this one being used for Dynamics ERP products:

And of course, the Dynamics 365 Logo:

Farewell, sails: you’ve served us well.
