How to Send a Message to Users in Dynamics GP
As an administrator, you have the ability to send a message to users logged into Microsoft Dynamics GP, or create a task for specific users that will appear on their Homepage, under the To Do section.
- Open the Send Message window – Microsoft Dynamics GP | Tools | Utilities | System | Send Users Message
- Select the Users that you want to send the message to
- Mark the following options that you would like:
- Notification Message – for users that are currently logged in
- Task with Reminder
- In the Message section, type your comment.
- Click Send:

If you clicked on Notification Message, the users you marked will get a message pop up on their screen showing the comment that you wrote. If you clicked on Task with Reminder, the users you marked will see a new task on their Home Page under the To Do section.
Here is an example of how the Task with Reminder option will appear on the users Home Page:
