Sneak Preview – Microsoft Dynamics AX ‘7’
2015 is shaping up to be a big year for Microsoft Dynamics. With the release of Dynamics NAV and SL this fall and the expected release of Dynamics GP and CRM this December, there’s a lot of fresh new products coming out. In addition to these, the release Microsoft Dynamics AX ‘7’ is expected for late fall 2015.
High level details about the upcoming Dynamics AX release were shared at the recent AXUG Summit in St. Louis.
- Dynamics AX ‘7’ will have a new browser based interface. This browser interface will also replace the Enterprise portal rolling portal capabilities like employee self-service into it.
- Dynamics AX ‘7’ will also be available on Azure and will use SQL Azure platform-as-a-service (PaaS) database offering. Azure’s scalability and disaster recovery capabilities make it a great fit for the needs of Dynamics AX customers.
- Of course, as with every release, you can expect to see functional updates that will continue to make your life easier and more efficient.
This is just a little sneak peak. More details on this upcoming release to become available as we get closer to launch.
