If it’s been awhile since you have upgraded or installed a new Subscription Billing build, you may not be aware that we have made some great updates to the Subscription Billing Document History window. You now have access to a lot of valuable information directly off of the Subscription Billing Contract. All current clients who are on Dynamics GP 2015, GP 2016 or GP 2018 of Subscription Billing with an active Maintenance Plan in place may download and install the most recent build from our Subscription Billing product page to start leveraging the new features.
Some of the new features detailed below were requested and funded in part by existing clients looking to bring the functionality to market quicker. In these cases, the client and Encore share in the cost of developing a new feature and add it into general release. This saves the client money when they upgrade in the future, as the code is updated and maintained by Encore going forward, and as an added bonus, all our current and future clients also have access to the new features.
1. Amount Remaining column has been added to the Subscription Billing Document History window:
The Amount Remaining column will indicate if a ‘Posted Sales Invoice’ has been fully paid or has an amount owing. (If the invoice has not yet been posted or has subsequently been voided, the field in the Amount Remaining column will be blank.) A green flag displayed in the Amount Remaining column indicates that the sales document has been fully paid. Placing focus on a line and drilling into the ‘Amount Remaining’ column header will open the Applied to Debits window for a SOP Invoice or the Applied to Credits window for a SOP Return to view the details of the payments applied to the invoice or the invoice in which the return was applied. No more digging for information!
2. A new zoom into feature was added awhile back but if it’s been some time since you have installed a new build, it’s one that you may not be aware of. When you put focus on any of the lines in the Document History window and select the zoom into arrow next to the Document Number column header, the Sales Document Detail Inquiry Zoom window will open so that you can view the subsequent sales documents created from the initial document generated via Subscription Billing. As seen in the screenshot below, a quote was created from Subscription Billing that was then transferred to an order and then to an invoice. You no longer need to browse outside of Subscription Billing to view these details. Time Saver!
3. New Document Type and Document Status columns have been added. Great and useful information!
