The Position

As an Account Manager you proactively engage with assigned clients to raise awareness of technologies and services designed to enhance the efficiency of their current Microsoft business applications. Following the Strategic Account Management (SAM) framework, you leverage the domain expertise of internal solution and technical specialists to present solutions that provide value to the client.

In this revenue responsible position, you strive to earn long-term trusted advisor status and exceptional client satisfaction ratings that ultimately result in recurring revenue growth, client retention and exceeding your personal quota.

The successful candidate demonstrates professional and ethical conduct while managing executive-level relationships in a wide range of industries. A self-professed “people person”, you have a passion for quality service, continued client success and an interest in digital transformation. 

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Day to day Account Management; serve as a trusted partner to develop and own relationships with decision makers and key stakeholders.
  • Develop an in-depth business understanding of your accounts and proactively recommend value-added solutions.
  • Nurture clients with outbound calls to educate them on new and emerging business applications.
  • Build strategic technology roadmaps with clients.
  • Introduce new services and solutions across the business units in an account.
  • Communicate and deliver cloud-based solutions.
  • Thoroughly and accurately document account activities in Sales Hub.
  • Research customer inquiries and respond in a timely manner.
  • Meet or exceed assigned revenue targets.
  • Seek and participate in learning opportunities relevant to new and existing products and services.

Desired Skills & Competencies

  • Post-secondary degree in business, finance, or information systems preferred.
  • 2+ years preparing business / customer-facing documentation/communication.
  • Proficient in core Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft ecosystem and technologies.
  • Experience with customer relationship management application, preferably Microsoft D365 Customer Engagement (CRM).
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications, preferably MS Dynamics.
  • Aptitude for numbers; basic accounting knowledge.
  • Understanding of software licensing trends (Software as a Service), cloud computing, managed services, service level agreements, recurring revenue streams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a mature, professional demeanor and the ability to handle issues with tact.
  • Growth mindset with a commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
  • Comfortable and productive working remotely.
  • Willing and able to travel; valid passport is required.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in resident country of Canada or US.
  • Must be fluent in English – both verbal and written.
