The Position

As a Marketing and Content Coordinator in the ever-evolving technology sector, you will be exposed to a wide range of marketing activities directed toward various business to business sales channels and models. Initiatives, events, and content are all created to educate and attract clients to the Microsoft products and services provided by Encore Business Solutions.

Reporting to the Team Lead, Marketing, this entry-level position presents an exciting opportunity to resourceful self-starters seeking to develop their content creation skills and unleash their creative talents in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will be articulate, extremely well organized, and creative. Recognized for seeking continuous improvement, you challenge the status quo, embrace change and work well under pressure.  Preference will be given to candidates who have knowledge and/or experience with content creation and optimization, event planning, B2B marketing, WordPress, Customer Relationship Management, marketing automation, or a combination of these.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Participate in planning and execution of in-person and virtual marketing events.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop educational and informative blog articles for publication and distribution through internal and external channels.
  • Optimize online content according to SEO best practices.
  • Ensure all marketing content aligns with brand guidelines and style standards.
  • Coordinate with the editorial team to ensure consistent product and event coverage.
  • Create and manage content refresh for the website.
  • Support social media content creation and manage social media advocacy program.
  • Create and distribute monthly newsletter.
  • Contribute to marketing automation initiatives; participate in strategic marketing discussions.
  • Support video content creation through idea generation, and assist with scripts, production, and edits.
  • Create, review, and maintain email marketing lists, subscription opt-in/out lists in compliance with email marketing privacy laws.
  • Create forms and surveys via marketing automation tools as needed.

Desired Skills & Competencies

  • University or community college degree in marketing, communications, or work equivalent.
  • 2+ years administrative experience supporting sales and/or marketing team preferred.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Passionate and creative writer, creative thinker, able to conceptualize and offer new ideas.
  • Demonstrates initiative with the desire to own projects through to completion.
  • Problem solver with a growth mindset and commitment to continuous learning.
  • Keen eye for detail with exceptional proofreading skills.
  • Reliable and consistently adheres to timelines.
  • Able to work independently but thrives as a member of a dynamic and growing team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Willing and able to travel (minimal); valid passport required.

Must be resident of Canada or the US and legally entitled to work in resident country.
