Solution Specialist – Microsoft D365 Customer Engagement

The Position

We are looking for an enthusiastic and approachable individual to contribute to the ongoing growth of our Microsoft D365 Customer Engagement practice. You bring practical hands-on experience implementing Microsoft D365 Customer Engagement (formerly Customer Relationship Management) software with exposure to Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Project Operations, D365 Portal, Power Automate and Marketing.

The Solution Specialist will work with team members on projects from inception to customer signoff adhering to established project management methodologies and consistently meeting aggressive project deadlines. You possess a strong, professional work ethic, have an aptitude for mastering new software applications and a commitment to continuous learning.

This role will appeal to an individual interested in learning business process analysis, assisting in high-level design discussions and supporting overall solution architecture to solve business problems. You have superb communication skills, strong business insight and thrive in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Facilitate workshops with client domain experts to capture solution requirements.
  • Define client business processes and write detailed accurate requirements documentation defining functional and technical requirements and specifications for project work.
  • Provide project management support and assist with project planning / sprint planning development.
  • Update project tasks, business processes and requirements in Azure DevOps.
  • Assist in high-level design discussions and support overall solution architecture requirements.
  • Define and design system integrations to ERP systems such as D365 Business Central or D365 Finance and Supply Chain Management.
  • Data migration from legacy systems to CE environments.
  • Define and design KPI/business intelligence dashboards and code enhancements.
  • Configure D365 to meet client needs as defined while implementing with sound relational database practices.
  • Craft and deliver training to both clients and internal team members.
  • Troubleshoot browser application related errors.
  • Contribute to company marketing initiatives by sharing knowledge and expertise via blog articles, webinars, and recorded videos.

Desired Skills & Competencies

  • University Degree or Diploma in Business, Finance or Information Systems or equivalent experience.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement certification (Sales, Field Service, or Customer insights).
  • 1-2+ years’ experience implementing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is required. (Preferably Microsoft D365)
  • 1-2 years industry operations and professional services with focus on consulting.
  • 1+ year experience preparing business / customer-facing documentation or communication.
  • Minimum 1 year providing customer service or technical support.
  • Strong business analysis skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile / SCRUM project methodologies.
  • Growth mindset required with dedication to achieve ongoing Microsoft certifications.
  • Excellent presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with large and small audiences.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Influential in a team environment; challenges status quo to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Basic knowledge of development tools is an asset (HTML, JavaScript, CSS).
  • Basic knowledge of Power Automate, Power Platform
  • Familiarity with integrations to other systems such as Dual write for Customer Engagement and Finance and Supply Chain Management
  • Basic knowledge of Customer relationship systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications, preferably Microsoft D365.
  • Willing and able to travel; passport is required.
  • Must be resident of Canada or the US and legally entitled to work in resident country.
  • Must be proficient in English – both verbal and written.
