Canadian organizations big and small have been moving to digitally transform paper, manual, error prone processes for some time now. Covid-19 has exasperated the situation and raised the urgency to get it done faster.
One of the most efficient ways to do this is to empower non-IT, super users or citizens developers with the tools to at least plant the seed and create a minimal viable app or solution with no code, low code tools.
It’s a way of distributing the effort of digital transformation, reducing the pressure and bottleneck on IT projects, while at the same time encouraging innovation from the ground up.
In this session, we will look at how to achieve this and review some best practices from Microsoft and customers and how to manage it all.
We will cover the following topics:
- Overview of No/Low Code and Microsoft Power Platform
- Demonstration of how to quickly digitize a paper based, manual process.
- Overview of grassroots, Citizen Developer training, community development, centre of excellence (i.e. Microsoft’s COE Toolkit)
- Case Study (Schlumberger or Chevron) – how have other customers addressed this
