3 Options for Your Transition to Dynamics 365 Business Central

You can choose from three different Encore plans for your transition from Dynamics GP to Dynamics 365 Business Central.

You can have Business Central mirror the configurations of your GP system with Reflector, move to Business Central more quickly with Accelerator, or re-evaluate and modernize your processes as you move to Business Central with Fresh Start.

Reflector

Accelerator

Fresh Start

Mirror your current business processes from Dynamics GP into Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Fast, fixed-price, and fixed-scope implementation for companies with simpler requirements.
Update and improve your business processes as well as your ERP.

Reflector

Mirror your current business processes from Dynamics GP into Dynamics 365 Business Central.

With Reflector, we configure Dynamics 365 Business Central using the most important elements in your current GP environment as a reference point.

It won’t be exactly the same as your GP environment, but the Business Central configuration will reflect the processes already familiar to your team. Furthermore, the timeline, cost, and your team’s effort needed to transition will be lower than in a Fresh Start.

Accelerator

Fast, fixed-price, and fixed-scope implementation for companies with simpler requirements.

For companies with less complex requirements, Accelerator is the fastest way to move to Dynamics 365 Business Central. You can build out your own fixed-price package, depending on the capabilities you need.

Also, you can add integrations and ISV add-ons on top of your Accelerator package. Some clients choose to start with an Accelerator plan to transition quickly to Business Central, and later do a follow-up project where Encore builds out more of the functionality they want in Business Central.

Fresh Start

Update and improve your business processes as well as your ERP.

The Fresh Start plan is right for companies who want to use their transition to Dynamics 365 Business Central to re-imagine business processes, configuration, and reporting.

This is often the best choice for companies whose processes, size, tech stack, or market has changed significantly since their initial implementation. It also fits well for companies that are planning for such changes in the next 1-3 years.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with several Encore team members, both on day-to-day technical challenges and longer-term planning initiatives. Their knowledge, guidance, and honesty have served us extremely well. They take the time to understand our situation, offer realistic recommendations, and genuinely care about our success. That combination of expertise and integrity makes Encore a partner we truly enjoy working with.

Steps In a Dynamics GP to Dynamics 365 Business Central Transition

A Dynamics GP to Dynamics 365 Business Central transition proceeds in four steps.

  1. Analysis: Determining your business processes, pain points, and business needs. This step provides essential information that will be needed at all later steps.

  3. Deployment: Training, user acceptance testing, and any needed reconfiguration.
  4. Operations: Go live and load final balances.

For our existing customers, because Encore is already familiar with your business, the analysis step begins with collaboration between our GP and Business Central resources to review your environment, data, and history of projects and support cases.
